We are a niche solicitors practice with offices in Bradford and Keighley. We provide expert legal advice to families and individuals. We cover a range of family services including child abduction, cohabitation/prenups, divorce and financial settlements, domestic violence, children’s issues, forced marriages and social services, both private and legally aided.

Our Opportunity

A paralegal role where you will be supporting a team of 10 other lawyers.  You will be trained to undertake fee earning tasks to support matters covering divorce, ancillary relief, children matter, financial matters, injunctions, non-molestations and forced marriage protection orders. You will provide a supporting role to the existing family law team, take instructions, and learn how to deal with clients, particularly those in a vulnerable situation. You will manage tasks and instructions using our case management system. You will have ongoing training and development opportunities.

You will have a keen interest in family law. You will have your law degree.  You will be organised and approach tasks with common sense, dealing with challenging situations in a calm but effective manner. We expect you to collaborate with colleagues to build relationships and case work.

What you need to know

We can consider flexible working arrangements.

We offer 24 days holiday increasing to 30 after 6 years’ service (1 extra day per year of service)

Auto enrolment pension scheme – 5% employee and 3% employer

Sophisticated case management system, digital dictation to include speech recognition, and VOIP telephone system. A laptop will be provided to you.

Family Lawyer – to work within our Family Department

Bradford with some attendance required at our Keighley office with hybrid working.

We have an opportunity for a Family Lawyer to join our team.

Our Opportunity

In this role you will be responsible for building your own case load and advising clients about all aspects of the law relating to family law dealing with both private and legally aided clients.  We are interested in recruiting someone who has a particular interest in financial relief on divorce, but will consider all applications. You will have full use of a secretarial support team.  You will manage your own case files using our case management system.  You will have ongoing training and development opportunities.  You will be responsible for billing your files in order to achieve your bonus related target.

You

You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience upwards of family law casework.  You will be organised and approach tasks with common sense, dealing with challenging situations in a calm but effective manner.  We expect you to collaborate with colleagues to build relationships and case work.
