We have an opportunity for a Family Lawyer to join our team.
Our Firm
We are a niche solicitors practice with offices in Bradford and Keighley. We provide expert legal advice to families and individuals. We cover a range of family services including child abduction, cohabitation/prenups, divorce and financial settlements, domestic violence, children’s issues, forced marriages and social services.
Our Opportunity
In this role you will be responsible for building your own case load and advising clients about all aspects of the law relating to family law dealing with both private and legally aided clients. We are looking for someone who is interested in practicing in a wide range of private law family issues. You will have full use of a secretarial support team. You will manage your own case files using our case management system. You will have ongoing training and development opportunities
You
You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience upwards of family law casework. You will be organised and approach tasks with common sense, dealing with challenging situations in a calm but effective manner. We expect you to collaborate with colleagues to build relationships and case work.

FAMILY LEGAL SECRETARY
Bradford office based

Are you currently looking for something more? A new opportunity? We are looking for a Legal Secretary to work in our family department in our Bradford office. The position is for someone who already has experience in all areas of family law including divorce, children matters, finances and domestic violence. Experience working with legal aid procedures would also be beneficial.

Our Opportunity
In this role you will work as part of a secretarial team working for a variety of lawyers who all undertake family law. We work fully on a paperless basis using a case management system together with digital dictation.
You
You will have ideally at least 1 years’ experience of working within the family law sector and have an understanding of legal aid procedures. You will type as a minimum 50 wpm. You will be IT literate and be able to efficiently use Outlook, Word, Excel, One Drive, Teams, PDFs, electronic bundles. You will have some experience using a case management system. You will have an excellent telephone manner when dealing with varied clients including vulnerable clients. You will work together as a team and support your colleagues. You will be able to travel to our other office in Keighley for ad hoc holiday cover (if required).
