Family Law, Housing Law
I completed my law degree at the University of Leeds and the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School in 2002.
Prior to joining Williscroft & Co I was a Legal Support Worker at a domestic abuse project in Bradford and against this background I have a particular interest in helping and empowering women to escape abusive relationships. I work on many cases where domestic violence has formed part of a relationship and regularly commence proceedings for the personal protection of clients and/or to assist them to remain or to return to their homes. I am a member of the Bradford Domestic Violence Forum and provide training for the Bradford Domestic Abuse Training Consortium and the Voluntary Sector regarding legal procedure in the area.
I also advise and represent clients on a full range of family law issues to include divorce, resolution of the finances after the breakdown of relationships and cases concerning children.
I also specialise in Housing Law, advising and representing clients in relation to a number of housing issues to include disrepair, possession proceedings, anti-social behaviour, illegal evictions and homelessness.
I believe in offering practical and comprehensive advice alongside providing a sensitive and understanding approach.
