We advise and represent tenants and homeowners who are facing possession. This involves negotiating with landlords and mortgage companies on our client’s behalf’s whilst working to maximise their income to reach agreements to retain their homes. We are assisted by our own welfare benefit team to ensure that clients are in receipt of the benefits that they are entitled to.
We are often instructed in cases of actual or threatened homeless. In such cases we ensure that the housing authority exercise their duties and provide homlessness assistance in accordance with the law and the correct procedure. We are also able to challenge any decisions of the local authority through review and the courts when appropriate.
