Family Law, Child Care
I completed my law degree at the University of Bristol in 2003 and my legal practise training at the University of Central Lancashire.
I returned to Bristol to complete my training contract at the end of which I chose to specialise in Family and Childcare Law.
In 2008 I returned to my northern roots and worked at a local Bradford firm specialising in family law, in particular, providing advice on separation/divorce, residence and contact disputes and domestic violence.
Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2007 I have provided advice on all areas of family law. However more recently I have chosen to concentrate on public law children cases, i.e. those cases where the Local Authority are involved with children. I find this area of law both challenging and rewarding. I also continue to take on those cases involving the welfare of children within private law proceedings in particular where there are more complex issues to deal with such as allegations of domestic violence.
Although my focus is now upon childcare law I continue to assist those who are victims of domestic violence by undertaking emergency injunction work to ensure that they and their family have the appropriate protection.
